Slammiversary

You know what I really want. Kenny King vs Chris Sabin in a plain match. I don't even care if it's for a belt. Because, despite only having a minimum of mic time, they've managed to sell me on their story. Kenny King (with his awesome theme music) is the cocky, sneaky person being mean to poor, just back from injury, Chris Sabin. I want Sabin to punch him. This is good.
TNA, of course, aren't giving me this, and this year's edition of Suicide has been thrown into the middle of this for no reason. I loathe the new X-Division rules.
I'm also not a fan of Ultimate X because I always fear that it's going to end in injury, even without the traditional "OMG they killed AJ" moment.
In less grumpy news, the three of them did a good job, and, for old time's sake - Hail Sabin. (Also, oh heck Sabin, who remains affixed in my head as a 23 year old kidult, is going grey round the edges! And it suits him!)
And now we have a 10 minute Hogan promo :( Although I may keep "foaming at the crotch" as an insult.
Joe murderising people should not make me so happy.
I do like Jeremy Borash's run down of the difference between now and 2012.
I know there's nothing special about Jay Bradley, but I like him.
D'Von's promo is both cheap and effective. It is glorious.
I want to hug Kurt Angle. Which tends to happen any time he's not playing Kurt Angle.
Bad Influence's promo was also made of wonderful (cuddly evil wonderful admittedly).
I feel ~ about Storm n Gunnar winning (although I like Bad Influence's suggestion of calling them the Viking Cowboys) because I like Storm but he's winning the tag titles in a team that isn't AMW. And I know it's ridiculous, it's just ... they're the tag team that I love the most and no, I'm not over it. I'm also not over Lockdown last year where TNA ruined a chance to give Storm a proper happy ending to the Storm vs Roode.
That LastMan Knockout Standing match was fantastic.
As you might imagine by the note outside the cut, I am keyboard smash over Styles's new theme tune. It sounds like lone cowboy music. It's very hard not to cheer for AJ with music like that. It's like he's the outsider hero that people keep telling me Anderson is, except Anderson's a jerk that I can't bring myself to cheer for.
Despite him not being in the Ultimate X or the Last Person standing match, they still managed to have a "OMG we killed AJ" moment.
Of course Styles v Angle was good and solid. Not a showstopper but good.
I decided not to watch the last match because whatever happens I won't be happy with it, because I know Bully Ray should win by all that is rational (and storyline logical) so I will be unhappy if he loses. However I like Sting, and while it's a good way of getting him out of future world championship matches (if they actually stick to their stipulations), I will therefore be unhappy if he loses.
Non-spoilery - Styles's new music is epic.
