The 21 last lines of my last 21 stories.

- Budd'll love the guy until he's dead, they're brothers, and Bill helped him hide the body, but it doesn't mean that he has to like him.

- James wasn't going to turn into Chris either though, he refused to, he'd get his revenge and then he'd move on.

- There can be no agreement, and she is perfectly placed to stop it.

- He wasn't the sort of sentimental fool who believed that bad things were ever made up for by anything, but this new life, it would do.

- The world of the common man and his opinions was an illogical place, where no man who loves men could ever be friends with another man.

- Of course, the chances of that plan actually working were minimal, but Randy didn’'t care, he’'s already got what he wanted out of this.

- He fell asleep immediately, leaving Fai to watch over him.

- Mutant and proud, respecting herself, in all the myriad ways that she was no worse than anyone else, and those special ways that she was better.

- He knew that this fondness - this love if he was being melodramatic and honest, neither of which he wanted to be right now - was only setting himself up for heartbreak further down the road; you should never get attached to things you can't keep.

- "Do you think clearing up after Sean and Alex counts as a reasonable substitute?"

- Every time he saw the belt, he remembered what they'd done with it before, and he wondered what Dave would do to him with it in the future.

- Because yes, that would mean that Sherlock was on the opposing side, and that was a terrifying thought, but if Donovan was right then at least Sherlock was alive, and Lestrade had liked the man, despite everything.

- She'd joined to save the world, or Britain at least, and having her hands tied so she can only react, not act, chafes at her, but for now her command must remain 'hold, steady'.

- Listening to Trish was always a good idea.

- "So, about that trifle?"

- "But you tried, and for that, we are grateful."

- London was worth it though, even the five o'clock starts.

- In his darker moments, he had his doubts, but he had to believe it would be.

- The reporter from the Prophet asks Jones, one of their beaters who'd been in Ravenclaw a few years above them, about it, and her quote, which ended up emblazoned on the back page of the Prophet the next day was 'if you think this is bad, you should see them in practise.'

- "Not often enough."

- He scrambled from the cage, and headed to the back.

They're a much more varied bunch than my first lines. There is a tendency towards the epigrammatic but that's about it. Possibly I've swallowed my English lessons too well since my first lines are situation set ups.
