Richard III
Feb. 5th, 2013 02:06 pmWhose body has indeed been found (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-leicestershire-21063882) and now identified.
I'm torn about this. My inner imp of peevishness wanted it not to be him, and just some other poor bugger, mostly on the principle that we're all equal and doesn't that other poor bugger deserve a name and a face and a decent burial.
On the other hand, it's doing wonders for Leicester Uni's image. I do love the number of posts in places like the Guardian where some archaeologist are all "no, horribly flashy and showbiz" where all the comments are "you're just jealous is was Leicester that got him, not your uni." Because Leicester, despite Evil Bob's herculean efforts, are still not held in the regard it deserves.
