In which I try not to be that fan but TNA

I shall begin with the positives - Christian York is shaping up to be a lot better than expected. Bobby Roode remains gloriously evil (it's so nice to have a heel I can actually boo). ODB's promoette about Eric Young was brilliantly effective (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dMQZ114jI6s&list=UUOp8wkVqdrWbFYHjDv946QQ), Kaz and Daniels continue to be ... adorably evil. I'm not sure you can be adorably evil but you know what I mean.

Kid Kash. All the other X-divisioners are joining Aries in the mocking of Brooke Hogan, and Kash doesn't. Not because he's a good guy, or likes Hogan, but because it has nothing to do with violence. I approve of Kid Kash being lawful violent.

The things I am 'hmm' about - Wes Brisco. Or rather, I am all over Wes Brisco, but while being so I was reminded of something an RL friend of mine said when I was discussing a rugby player I was going ga-ga over - "[rl name redacted], he wouldn't happen to be blond, would he? With blue eyes and long hair, and vaguely, if you squint a bit, feminine?" I have a type and I can't help it (see also why my Mum was convinced Kid Kash was my favourite in TNA even when AMW were still together).

- the Storm vs Styles feud they're not quite going with yet. Nothing against either man, but I think I just don't like it.

Things I am 'oh FFS TNA' about - the whole Brooke Hogan/Bully Ray 'n' Austin Aries and Hulk Hogan nonsense.

There are a great many things I do not like about it. We will start with the obvious. Hulk, your daughter is older than I am. She is allowed to make her own choices regarding her romantic partners. You really don't get to stare wrath of god at them if they haven't done anything wrong yet. This goes doubly when she's been introduced as being sexy, smart and powerful* to an equal extent to the rest of the Knockouts. Hogan doesn't come across as a concerned parent, he comes off as a controlling douchebag.

Part 2 is that they're not actually giving Bully Ray anything to do. He isn't standing up for his grand passion, he's just peeved that Hogan doesn't trust him. I feel like asking what Brooke is, chopped liver? (Sad though it is, I think I would be dealing with this angle better if it didn't seem like the romance was an afterthought and it's just an excuse to drive a wedge between Hogan and Bully Ray.)

I am oddly amused that their attempts at making him convincingly romantic include making him wear sleeved shirts now.

Part 3 is that this has sucked Austin Aries into the mire of this year's version of the storyline of great sucktitude. Surely they can do something better with him.

* yes, I know it's the other lot's catchphrase but I like it

Snooker is proceeding is a reasonably pleasing manner (other than Ding going out in the first round. Look, I know you can play, why don't you do that). The important detail is that neither the foetus Judd Trump (with his terrible fans), nor the racist Mark Allen (I'm sorry, he is, and I think it would pass a libel trial. Seriously dude, WTF is your problem with Chinese people.) can win.

Admittedly as it stands now I'm cheering for Neil Robertson and Mark Selby (and hoping for Matthew Stevens but there is only heartbreak there) which will make me very unpopular at home.
