Mostly things I'm digging at the moment
Sep. 28th, 2011 11:19 amRizzle Kicks - Down With The Trumpets
It's the tune, goodness knows if it's a sample but yes, rapping and trumpets.
Ed Sheeran - You Need Me More Than I Need You
That Sheeran and Rizzle Kicks have a collaboration coming up makes me very happy.

I'm loving this advert for the rugby world cup
Okay, yes, mostly I love it because it puts Chris Ashton in a pink pinny (apron is the more traditional term but pinny is the local one and he's from down the road from me) but also just the idea. And before anyone says 'but why the fella not the girl' as someone who has been woken up at 4 in the am by a mad rugby fan so he could watch the rugby, I'm on team I'd rather have the rugby team than the match.
And this one for British Airways
Because it makes flying look awesome (which it is). It must be said that I'm a proud customer of British Airways when possible, except that, you know, they never fly from or to the places I'm after, which is why I fly Lufthansa (who I also love) or BMIbaby and Flybe. Never again Ryanair.

And since episode 2 is on tonight, I'm liking 'The Fades' (http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b0129tkw or http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1772379/). It's another one of BBC3's starter shows, again in the horror with an edge of comedy vein. The underlying premise is interesting, and it's got some fun edges. And Neil, who is so doggedly pessimistic (for good-ish reasons) that it raises it to an art-form.
I mean, it's not perfect, the dialogue could do with a bit of work, but I like the characters, particularly the aforementioned Neil and Mac, the main character's best friend. Also, it has a kickass female vicar, as played by Daniela Nardini, and a high creepy index.
Definitely worth a watch.
