Wrestling and Rugby
Sep. 15th, 2011 06:10 pmI am, no word of a lie, a little bit excited by the Bound For Glory Series matches. I have no idea how. Partly because I'd rather any of these guys have the title than any of the big gun. I do really wish they'd create a separate division for Russoed to death angles and just let me watch this lot go at it. I'd rather watch Gunnar vs anyone than another go round of Sting v Angle (said with the greatest love for both of the above).
That being said, some part of me really wants to tell Bobby Roode to mind his eyes, because we all know how James Storm dealt with his last tag partner. And that's the thing, I feel I never give Beer Money the credit they deserve, because every time I see James Storm I still think 'you bastard'. And I know it was 4 years ago (I still boggle at that) but oh, AMW still hold my heart in a vice.
Jesse Sorenson vs Kid Kash is made of X-div awesome (except a couple of missed spots at the end).
Dear Bully Ray, you sir, deserve a medal for your devotion to the art of getting cheap heel heat. I mean, that's practically textbook.
Damn it, James Storm, stop being adorable.
What do you call it when there's a heroic heel? And what do you call that sinking feeling you get every time you see Eric Bischoff?
I take it there are no such things as passivity / non-combativity rules in wrestling. (Although, again, I wish to commend Bully Ray for his committment to being a heel. And to boo and hiss at him).
Oh Bobby, you're not going to win at Bound For Glory, but I shall cheer for you like you wouldn't believe. Yes, even if it's against Sting.
Either Challenge TV can't schedule for toffee and decided to put a 30 minute break in the middle of the PPV or they decided not to show the main event. I doubt I missed much given it was a TNA main event.

Best / worst thing about the Rugby World Cup
Thom Evans is well enough to be punditing. Unfortunately he's only punditing. And he was such a brilliant wing.
