Missed A Couple of Days

redfiona99But mostly my Tour <3s go to the usual people, Thor Hushovd for being in the World Champions's jersey and acting as a water-carrier, Tommy Voeckler and Phillippe Gilbert for doing their jerseys proud. Not a dig on Contador or Armstrong or any of the recent green jerseys because I realise that the way the Tour has evolved dictates that eventual GC winners don't go for stage wins until the mountains and that green jersey hopefuls go for bunch sprints but it was lovely to see the green and yellow jersey in the lead of a stage.
Also to Cavendish for proving graceful in victory and defeat (whingy but graceful, it's an odd combo).
And to Tommy again, for this >>“I will try, but I honestly expect to lose the jersey tomorrow,” said the Frenchman. “That doesn’t mean that I won’t fight. We’ll see...”<< Oh Tommy!
