Like pretty much everyone else I'm seen I liked this episode a lot.

I was worried when the episode title was announced because I thought there would be romantic complications and we all know how little I like those. Even the words 'written by Neil Gaiman' didn't settle the fear.

Of course, I was wrong. Oh stars and hearts, I was happily wrong.

I've heard criticism that this was just fan fic with an official seal. The people saying that might not be wrong, but I don't care because, like all good fanfic it kept everyone in character and did something that canon hadn't previously (for did see also explored since I'm a vignette writer and I don't want them to feel left out).

One of the best things about it was that I have never met the Corsair, and I am sad that I'll never get the chance. Even if I do worry that he's the other Corsair which might explain his absence from the comics.

Analogies that aren't are getting to be a bit of a habit.

This - "Biting's excellent! It's like kissing. Only there's a winner." - is a fantastic quote.

The poor Doctor, all his hopes dashed again, despite all the things he sacrificed to get out of the universe.

There's something gleefully creepy about a lot of this, from the drapes and the body parts recycling, Auntie and Uncle in general all the way to the green-eyed Ood.

I love that the Doctor tried to keep Amy and Rory safe. Even if it didn't work.

I utterly <3 that she stole him just as much as he stole her.

And Amy and Rory came up with a plan to keep themselves alive. If in permanent danger. Of course, it's Rory that dies (that makes 3 times this season already!).

I'm very grateful that other people described those corridors as Blake's 7-like because I knew I recognised them but not what I knew them from.

Oh the look of horror on the TARDIS's face when she sees the other TARDISes. It's something I hadn't thought about before, but she's probably the last TARDIS left.

I love that the TARDIS thought that Rory was the pretty one (she's utterly wrong, but never mind). And Amy's choice of images for opening the door.

Once again, Ood goes boom. Can we stop killing off Ood.

Snerk at 'Doctor, did you wish really hard?' Amy knows her Doctor so well. (Also, they're slowly working their way through some spectacularly cracky premises.)

The Doctor crying breaks me somewhere. And hard.

Of course the Doctor gave them a bunkbed :) That's what I love about Eleventy, he's convincingly 5 and 500 at the same time.
