I wonder what the question means, I mean, it's not like the UK does anything special for the 4th of July, and the national day for Austria is the 27th of October.
Bastille Day, for which my francophile heart retains an enormous fondness, is the 14th of July so it can't be for that.
In short, oh questioner, the internet, and all who sail in her, are not American, and you might have wanted to reflect that in your question, changing it to 'what can people do to show support for their country?' perhaps.
(It must be said, I know an awful lot of awesome USAians who will take this comment in the spirit with which it is intended, vive la revolution and all that).
