Being Human (Episode 4)
Feb. 25th, 2009 02:38 pmFirst, a brief introduction. The icon is original, pilot Mitchell (and is by _riot_girl_05_ ), and I shall be using it despite there now being series Mitchell, because, um, I still like this one better.
Anyway, on to episode 4, which wasn't quite as good as episode 3, but still rocked the house. Because
Because normally the 'our heroes aren't child molesters' thing hinges on them not having done anything, but Mitchell did, however accidentally, give the kid a smut/snuff flim. Ah show, how odd thou art on occasions.
I was interest in seeing how the characters react, because Annie doesn't go out anyway so it's not like she can be targetted. She had her own problems though, and I think the pyrotechnics for her poltergeist state were the best SFX of the series so far. Not that I blame her for what she wants to do to Owen.
Mitchell appears be heading to the dark side after the whole thing, plus turning the kid (who, contrary to my housemate's belief we probably won't see again because child actors age, and vampires don't) and the whole bit with his mother, and I'm not sure I entirely blame him. I'm less bloodthirsty than my housemates though, they're awaiting the vampire apocalypse with glee. Because this Mitchell is much more human, I'm actually a lot less scared of him going mad, because he'll do so in an expected way. The other one, I think he would have scared me. But I think the scenes with the kid's Mum were part of the reason why they might have changed him because he would have looked oddly young next to her, which would add an even weirder dynamic to something that I think was already trying to deal with the awkwardness of being a single mother and trying to date someone.
Muchly looking forward to this week's episode.
