Just seen the trailer for Wolverine:Origins or whatever it's called. Eeeeep! Eeeep! Eeeep! So awesome looking.

Um... yeah. The cool things include seeing Logan on screen again. They seem to have gone with the most recent comic! origin, which is a decent one.



1 - The guy they have playing mini-Stryker sounds so much like Brian Cox that it's not funny. Well done that man.
2 - Various mutants that I know and love/like appearing. Also Deadpool might actually suit Ryan Reynold's style a lot more than the Blade films do.
3 - Liev Schreiber as Sabretooth/Victor Creed. Just ... awesomely scary evil, even in the trailer. And he suits the fuzz and fangs.
4 - Gambit. So far they have the eyes wrong and the accent missing but they have the walk and the style right. And eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Um. Yeah. So they have like about 30 seconds of just Logan and Striker with a few people I know to be parts of the Weapon X programme, and then there's these slow-mo frozen cards and I just knew.

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!


Um. Yeah. I might just be a little over-excited.

Haha, I watched the trailer last night. To be honest, I prefer the Comic Con trailer, if you've seen that. It's cut together better, in the sense that, I don't know. The official one looks really really melodramatic, and I know Wolverine's story is really melodramatic, but still.

HOWEVER, I'm not here to dampen your squee, because I, too, am very SQUEE. Liev is like a;lfdjsaklfjd;lk a;lfdjl ajf;dlkl;kajdf lk;jlkj df;lka df;jlkadf;lkjafdlkadlfk omfg. I'm not entirely sure I've ever seen him play flat out evil, and holy fuck, the DELICIOUSNESS. Especially at the end. That CHUCKLE. The chuckle of EVIL. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

The melodrama is very. Which I quite like, because one of the back in the Victorian era comic snippety flashbacky things for Wolverine was very Victorian melodrama.

I must see the Comic Con version.

Don't worry about the squee, it cannot be harshed.

I was expecting him to be Stryker because I had been deceived by rumours, so I was kind of going, 'why is there someone else doing Stryker's part' which quickly switched into 'OMG he's playing Sabretooth and doing it well'. So yes. This is promising.

I wish I can put to words better just why the official trailer kinda makes me go "eh" when the Comic Con trailer had me flipping my shit. I think it's the way it starts. Probably 'cause Victorian melodrama really ain't my thing, so I was kinda turned off that it started out that way.

I wish I can provide a link, but they rabidly took all the Comic Con footage off the web. You'd have to hunt a bit to find it.
