Windows may be evil, but its system restore function is fantastic (and has saved my hide on several occasions) and needs to be introduced to Linux stat.

Have spent most of my day at work having computer problems. Am not a happy bunny.

Also, due to changes in Endnote and Refworks, I am undoubtedly going to need a second hard drive. Any recommendations for external hard-drives?

I have a Maxtor that has served me flawlessly for the last three years. It came with backup software and was expensive, but not terribly so.

I am head over heels in love with the system restore. It saved my bacon as well, when I had weird issues with AVG recently. I may not always like Windows but there are times when I love it.
