Have the Canadians been performing in black in the men's all-around? If so, any guesses on who v. talkative light brown or strawberry blond haired putative Canadian might be.
The black surprised the hell out of me. Way to represent our country's colors! -_-
There were only two Canadian men in the all-around. Nathan Gafuik and Adam Wong. Those are really lousy profile pictures of them, but at least you get to see who's who.

That's why I ask because I kept seeing this guy wearing black but with what seemed to be a maple leaf on his leotard, and my thought process went 'must be Canadian. But black outfit. Must be New Zealandish, it could be a fern. New Zealand don't have gymnasts. But I'm out of touch and if they Aussies do, you can bet the New Zealanders will try it. But maple leaf.' It's a terrible colour choice.
If the photos on the Beijing website are more current then it's probably Gafuik. Either which way, they were definitely keeping up the stereotype of Canadians being very friendly.
Hahahah I love your thought process. Could be a fern. LOL! But actually, come to think of it, I do think we compete often in black in gymnastics. WHICH MAKES NO SENSE.
I didn't see any interviews with Gafuik, so I don't know if he was talkative, but I was guessing that you were thinking of him.
