Robin Hood
Oct. 8th, 2007 10:02 pmTwo of the things that annoyed me the most about last season are still there - the stupid arrow location effect thing and the 12th century English ninjas.
Well, the Sheriff is still evil. And far, far too amusing. That's to be expected. Guy is still remarkably far more understandable than Robin. Robin is still a dipshit.
Even if I live to be 100 I don't think I will ever understand why people would rather be refered to as women than girls.
Would people stop being mean to Much. Who is still the best thing ever.
Robin is still dumb. And has a remarkably bad inability to recognise faces.
Also, how is she keeping what look like tropical snakes alive in the UK in the 1100s? Including a python which as far as I know is native to South America.
They have a new chief torturer.
Okay, so Robin does have his moments.
Ah Prince John does get a mention. Yay! Also, I think Nottingham already had that with the Normans once.
Bad sign on the acting front - Keith Allen re: sister's death got me more than Robin re: Marian's.
Gosh! Guisborne's good. At being bad. But damn good.
Oh goodness - Alan's not going to end well. Either that or he'll get Djaq killed, because she so noticed and, oh, I don't want to see Will's face if that happens. Or Alan's actually, because he's not bad, he's just unfortunate.
I wish to complain - this is not an adaptation of the Robin Hood legend, it's an adaptation of Robin of Sherwood. This is what happens when you have no Prince John in your story.
