I said Voronin was a good buy, and no one believed me. Once again, even if only temporarily, I am proved right. Although the goal that brought a smile to my face was Alexei Smertin scoring.

Roy Keane, bless/damn his hide, is once again spot on about the footballers that are under the missus thumb. Now, while I'm willing to admit that it's not always a bad thing, when you get someone like the boy Beckham (who was blatently one of the ones included in the swipe) who moves to the US for his wife's sake, it's a bit much.

Although the ultimate sign that I'm getting old - this was Caspar Schmeichel's second start for Man. City. Two clean sheets as well. Alan Hansen and Lee Dixon were having a whale of a time comparing him to Daddy dearest. Thankfully, however much they'd like to pretend otherwise, he doesn't physically look the same, but his goalkeeping style is uncannily similar.

The bad films thing is linked to this. I was watching something truly terrible with Antonio Banderas and Lucy Liu and the bad guy's chief henchman looked ridiculously familiar, but I couldn't place him. Until, of course, he gets into a stance to start his showdown with Lucy Liu's character. And its then, not when he starts kicking, that I recognise him as Ray Park. I'd always known that people's stances are unique to them (it goes for en guards in fencing too) but I had realised exactly how much.

Ah, I love Roy Keane. I miss the days when managers would speak their mind and offend half the Premier League instead of just sulking like a two year old (Mourinho I'm looking at you..)

I don't know, Jose seems to offend all of the Premier League when he's having one of his days ;)
