redfiona99Wrestling Society X - I've only seen the first match (Jack Evans v Matt Sydal) and
Normally my love for Jack Evans can not be textually rendered. I love him dearly, so when a match with him in leaves me cold, there is something wrong. Now I'm not going to complain about the quality of the image, since, heck, I'm watching via Youtube, but the cameras annoying habit of flicking away every three seconds really didn't help with the flow of the match. Not that there was much flow anyway, but still...
Also, both wrestlers doing stupid shit onto concrete is bad.
However, there were good things. Mostly of the 'why haven't I seen Matt Sydal or his valet before. Particularly his valet. She was good. And chatting up your opponent's girlfriend when you beat him is the kind of smooth I can only approve of. I say again I <3 Jack Evans.
I so plan on watching the rest of the matches that I can get hold of.
Amusing thing from the Monday pub quiz - one of the questions was name 5 out of the 6 counties of Northern Island. I got two right off the bat (Antrim and Derry), Andy gets Armagh and I am reduced to humming 'Star of the County Down' (which was our fourth) to try and get the name of one of the other two. Amazingly said trick worked. Who said folk songs teach you nothing.
Cycling - dear UCI and Pro-Tour, plus the idiots in charge of the Vuelta and Le Tour - if you do not give Astuna a place, we will all know it's because you're prejudiced idiots, because they've had no more positives than anyone else.
PS: Dear Ivan Basso, may you fail miserably at Discovery.
Ice Hockey - question for the hockey loving peeps on my f-list, who is more likely to get better first, Jarret Stoll or Mikael Samuelsson?
