Captain Jack

Since I have a new icon (created by nqicons, taken with consent) and it is of Captain Jack Harkness, I do feel somewhat honourbound to therefore state my own personal view of Jack's backstory from what we have now.
We start with the assumption that the Time Agents are much like 00 agents, the best of the best. And, if we take James Bond as the example, the only things he lived for did seem to be sex and death and is generally charming, louche and a borderline sociopath.
Sound like anyone else we know?
Now imagine someone who'd been used to that, be used and abused (the mindwipe) and then saved, followed by being left on a space station with no way of getting off it.
Now undoubtedly something else happened in between Satellite 5 and Torchwood, plus we don't know how long he's been back on Earth or how he got here. All we know is that he's still hung up on the Doctor and immortal.
Which, if we again take Bond as our example, is probably a bad thing. The immortal bit I mean. Because I have to imagine it gets quite lonely. As several people have said Jack seems so much older now, and not even bothering with the shiny happy facade we saw before.
I worry about him, I really do.
I'm not actually going to use this as my Torchwood icon, there's an Owen one, again made by nqicons that I'm using instead because I have this horrible feeling that Owen the slappable is my favourite character in Torchwood.

and would've been a great one.
