Mostly sport
Aug. 10th, 2006 06:41 pmOkay why oh why does the athletics only get as many column inches as the Ashley Cole transfer saga? There are more people interested in athletics than in Ashley bloody Cole (no offense to the man intended).
Got the Times - no mention of Baala and him being the first guy in about 20 years to win back to back Euro 1500s, no mention of Zelezny in what was probably his last competition. Grrrr... plenty of football but very little sport - I'm sorry but the Champions League qualifiers have basically become 'how can we get rid of the little teams that are champions so bigger teams that aren't can get to the group stages so we can make more money'.
Cool article on Eurosport though - http://www.eurosport.com/athletics/european-championships-gothenberg/2006/sport_sto942023.shtml
Also, would someone tell the newspapers that British athletes not doing well isn't news anymore.
Did I miss out on a memo that RL people are ignoring my email? Because seriously, I swear some of them are.
Breaking News Well done Rhys Williams.
