I'm also thinking about totally redesigning it but I don't know if the Microsoft webpage builder is compatible with tripod. Does anyone know if it is?

are you talking frontpage? Or the one using word? 'Cause I think you have to have paid for the tripod service in order to use frontpage -- most places make you -- but using word to design web pages should work fine as long as everything's uploaded.

Didn't know that. However, given that I've spent the past hour wrestling with Frontpage and got nowhere, I think I'll give up and stick with the tried and true, if hideously ugly, tripod page. Thanks though.

I wouldn't want to make there be extra work for you to do because I imagine that would involve work of some kind - then again, I know nothing of computers so I could be very, very wrong.

Nah, it wouldn't involve any real huge amount of extra work on my part - I'd just make up an FTP account for you and then you can upload from your end.
