Anyone know who this is?

I made the deep mistake of trawling through the Survivor Series History pages, and am now more confused than when I started.

Why was Santa presenting the World Title (I presume it was the world title)?

*raises hand*

They wanted to get a sort of connection to the show between the holiday and the PPV. Therefore, like at the Macy's Parade, they were hoping to bring Santa out at the end of the PPV every year.

Of course, it didn't work.

*nodnods* without any background to the whole angle, it's hard to get what was going on *chuckles*.

At one point, Vince had a guy out there wrestling in a Santa suit, too..

So Vince's marbles aren't a recent loss? :)

Nah, they've pretty much been gone since the early 80's ;-)

He actually took the evil wrestling Santa idea from Jim Cornette..
