I mean, how's this for a line-up: Paul Simon, Dave Gilmour, Alain Toussaint and Elvis Costello and the Streets. With David Crosby and Graham Nash randomly appearing.

And it was so cool because you had Dave Gilmour tapping his feet to the Streets, the Streets grooving to 'Graceland' and Paul Simon bobbing up and down to 'On an Island'. There was such love and such respect, and mwah! I kiss Later for being the best programme on TV.

The Streets played a fantastic song of their new album called 'Never Went to Church on Sunday' or something along those lines. Seriously beautiful song. I also want it known that I may well smack the next lazy music journalist who describes Mike Skinner as the Chav poet laureate. I want to tell them that just because he writes songs that reflect real life and because he didn't go to art school, that doesn't make him a chav.

Other than that, I hope Fileg won't mind me using this fabulous icon she made again.

I'm also very much looking forward to next week's Later... which will have Morissey (because, though I'm not quite old enough to be of the generation that venerated him as the man, I still think he's bloody good), Dirty Pretty Things and India Arie. And Cosby and Nash again.

I'm also looking forward to Dr. Who because it looks infintely plausible. And I like it when they're plausible. It also worries me that something my Mum remembers is now a historical era that can be recreated. Mind you, if I get terrified out of my mind that the TV is going to try and attack me, I won't half look stupid.
