Fic-ish whinging

Do you ever get this thing where you're trying to do with a fic, you write it and then when you read it back, it does not resemble in any which way or form the fic you were trying to write?

How does that happen, how does something you're responsible for putting on paper/word pad/word get so completely out of your control?

In my case right now I'm whinging about a La Res draft fic that I feel I should really try to finish before the next draft because otherwise the backlog will have reached ridiculous.

Edit: A-ha, I have a month. Which is also how long I have to the exams (rolls eyes) this could be fun.

When that happens to me, I sort of consider it a gift. Like maybe it was meant to be that way.
