Today and a meme

As far as I'm concerned only one important national event occured in the UK today and that was the Grand National.

The horse Mum backed won so she's got about £50 coming to her. Poor Tony McCoy's Grand National luck struck again, he was in the lead on a good horse when three of the loose horses blocked him in so he couldn't jump. Poor man looked heart-broken afterwards.

I quite like him, he's got a kind of obsessiveness towards his job that I find admirable. He was being interviewed last night and he was saying how after his racing career is done, that's it, there's never going to be anything that's anywhere near as good. And he meant it.

And I've been thinking about that, and I know I haven't even made baby steps towards it, but I think that lab work or computer work based on other people's lab work is going to be the only job that will ever come close to that sort of feeling for me.

On to Mr. Windsor and Ms. Parker-Bowles finally getting married I have two things to say: finally, and she looked an awful lot nicer than Diana ever did.

Now for the light entertainment part of the broadcast, a meme stolen from Opera.

I would participate more with question memes if I am the sort who can come up with good questions. But I can't. But here goes one that's low and dirty, or something. -_-

You can have wild, dirty, awesome, amazing sex with one wrestler, male or female, with real life considerations thrown out the window (marital status, potential health risk, whatever), who would it be?

That's why I don't tend to participate either. It's also why I don't ask questions in the 'ask me about my writing' ones.

The answer to that one is easy - Trish Stratus. 'Cause she's hot. And okay she'd probably ruin women for me forever, but what a way to get ruined. And she trained as a medic, if she doesn't know her way round erogenous zones there's no hope for the rest of us ;)

1. How many countries have you visited? - If we're counting ones I've travelled through rather than visited 8, if not then only 7. UK (I'm counting it as one but I've visited Scotland and Wales as well as England), France, Holland (that's the one I've only been through), Germany, Austria, Poland, Bulgaria and France.

2. If you had the chance to have sex with someone famous, would you take it? - It would depend on who the person was. Someone with no attachments, sure, someone with attachments then probably not. Thankfully I tend to find the un-attached ones more attractive.

3. What do you like on your toast? (butter, jam, nothing, etc) - It depends. Breakfast time just butter, since I'm trying to keep off the jam for tooth decay reasons, but for dinner or tea or lunch, I have spready cheese (processed cheese, dairylea or philadelphia - I have no idea if they have this in the US) or, and I really recommend these, garlic sausage or ham. They're both bliss on toast.

4. What song are you listening to right now? Or if nothing, what was the last song you listened to? - Nothing right now, I tend not to late at night, lest it wake the grown ups. The last thing would be 'If My Friends Could See Me Now' out of Sweet Charity, which was on the radio when I came back from watching the Dubliners at a live gig. (which I'm still shiny and happy about and will be posting about later.)
