Happy (Belated) Thanksgiving
Nov. 25th, 2016 10:09 pmI hope the Americans on my f-list won't mind me pinching their holiday, and the Canadians will forgive me for using the US date.
I am thankful for a lot of things:
My family - Yes, they remain impossible in 15 different ways, but they've been there for me when I've needed them. Especially C, my Mum's partner, who has been an absolute rock, in between my problems and my Nan's health.
My offline friends - who again, have totally stepped up, even the ones who don't know the ins and outs of what's going on, and have been very good about putting me up on sofas and inviting me up, down and out just to get away from things.
You lot - I can't tell you how much you've helped, especially before I was capable of talking about my problems offline.
My doctor - I've dealt with one too many doctors who are part of the 'don't over-medicate' movement. And I have some sympathy for them. But not when people need medication to function. This doctor understands this and was willing to give me the medication I needed.
The makers of Prozac - they have made the last few months infinitely more bearable.
