RL - Finally got to fencing. I feel roughly 7000 times better. It probably says bad things about me that I need to hit people with swords (and be hit) in order to feel good but ... I know it's really mostly that I was, literally, brain-breakingly lonely, and within one session I met awesome friendly people. I must say this, there is a great fellowship amongst fencers, and I know that I could walking into all but maybe 5 clubs in the country and be guaranteed at least a 'hail and well met'.

They are mostly epeeists, a grievous moral failing I will forgive them for entirely. One of the epeeists is a biology PhD student and its so nice to hear a PhD student be excited about their project.

All that means that life in the lab is going better. I think I might finally be getting the hang of the damn thing.

Computer Games:

I've managed to get myself organised enough to be able to to play SWTOR again.

My Jedi Sage and my Imperial Agent are on Corellia (also containing huge spoilers for both storylines) )

My trooper and my inquisitor are both on Belsavis )

My smuggler is on Taris and my Sith Warrior is on Balmorra. Despite being on Balmorra, I must say the Sith Warrior story is getting interesting.

Given that I suspect I'm coming to the end of the Consular and Imp. Agent stories, I think I'll start Jedi Knight and Bounty Hunter soon and they'll be my Dark vs Light characters.

Fic writing: I should have something finished soon. It's an Avengers Assemble fic, because I write at the speed of snail. Because I knew exactly what was in it and it's Thor fic I thought, yeah, this'll be a nice, quick, short fic. 2000 words later (and yes, I know I am the only person who doesn't call that a short fic, but my fics are normally ~ 1000 words), and it's not that short any more. It might well be the last thing for a while because everything else is either actually long (x > 5000 words), or coming out tortuous and complicated.
