Trying to sort out my Skyfall thoughts

But I keep being side-tracked by wondering how you make something as solid as Skyfall, and then the same group of people are responsible for something as lackluster as Spectre. I'm not sure if it's the success has gone to their heads, or if the extra time they got to make Skyfall meant they could refine it into something good.
