Bearing in mind that I've seen none of the most recent series because of fencing, science or other such fripperies.
The Empty Child / The Doctor Dances
I know is not one episode but it's so good. It's terrifying and uplifting and funny and sad and clever and has such a sense of humour. And it has Jack, which is also a bonus.
