I'm not talking about the rugby
Feb. 11th, 2007 10:14 pmuntil I can stop sputtering.
Am in an interesting position. The fencing coach wants me to go on one of his fencing training things in Hungary. He thinks I can improve. The money is not a problem (I haven't even asked how much it will be, but I can probably spare it) it's the time. Because it's two weeks. And I'm allowed a maximum of 8 weeks off and I'm not sure if required holidays (Christmas and Easter) count or not. Plus I really want to go to Prague and my Mum will flip her lid if she finds out that I'm going somewhere that close to my first year report hand-in day. The trip is the last week of July and the first week of August, my hand-in is on the 15th of September. If you don't think that that's close, I agree with you but I live with a healthy fear of my Mother who does. To the point where she has delayed our putative Prague trip until after 15th September. Which suits me (fewer tourists) but still, it increases the chances of her murdering me if I go.
Plus it's the kind of trip (14 days most of which will be solid fencing training) you need a holiday to recover from.
Hmm, decisions.
