(no subject)

Whatever it is, the boy was alive and apparently well at fencing today. Which makes me think it could be the first thing I thought it was. Which would be bad and really a sign that life is not fair, but at least he's okay.

Fencing was fun. Unfortunately 2 of my friends have their graduation party on the same day. In 2 different countries. Oh boy. Will probably go to Danny's because I've never been to Hamburg before, plus, it's probably just as cheap for me to get to Hamburg as it is to get to Northampton. That and I know him better.

Next Thursday should be fun if everyone turns up to the social.

Off to work on fic, unless you all want to hear about how good that guy looks in jeans.

Doctor Who squeaking

It's the last of this series of Doctor Who. Now we know certain things about what happens from the trailer and from common, unfortunately leaked, knowledge.

Watching a thing about Beethoven, various actors are playing their socks off, Paul Rhys (who is fantastic) makes a far better Beethoven than Gary Oldman did. Mainly because he has the right look of boss-eyed fanatascism.

Nicholas Farrell is floating about too, and someone who I think may well be Christian Coulson. But I could be wrong.

Only problem is that apparently we're supposed to be shocked that he was a bit odd. All great artists are a bit odd. (Only exceptions to this rule - the Bachs and Hayden, and possibly Handel too.) Who were all before him. Success makes you crazy.
