Depressed But Musical
Aug. 27th, 2003 01:10 amI'm having one of my off days and really don't feel safe in my own company. Now the important thing is to figure out why. It's probably lack of sleep.
Onto happier news 'Heroes' by David Bowie is such a cool track.
I've heard the Neptunes remix of 'Sympathy For The Devil'. Well they call it a remix but to my untrained ears it doesn't sound in the slightest bit different.
On the subject of the Stones, the great discussion is once again upon us, Stones or the Beatles? Now in my own in this case humble opinion, there's no contest.
THE BEATLES
Because while there might be a couple of decent Stones tracks that I will listen to, for sheer depth and variety of music plus listenability the Beatles have it won hands down.
It's taken me this long however to figure out that Guns and Roses's Sympathy For The Devil is the same song. Is an idiot.
And if anyone knows what Ivory's theme tune is, I'd be ever so greatful if they told me.
Final proof Zane Lowe is an idiot - he prefers Soundgarden to Rage Against the Machine. (Source - Him and the Foo Fighters discussing the band whose name has temporarily slipped my mind consisting of members of aforementioned bands)
Three random recs
A British band by the name of 'A'. Especially stuff of the Hi-Fi Serious album
'Try Honesty' by Billy Talent - it's not brilliant but it sticks in the brain.
'Like Glue' by Sean Paul. Because yes.
