Wrote this once already, LJ swallowed it. But that is probably a good thing since it was overly long and rambling. So this is the shorter, better version.

That was the match report.

The commentators were idiots, complaining that both teams are defensively minded, saying that the Italian league had fewer goals on average than the others.

Guess what, I like this style, and your beloved attacking teams (Man Utd and Real Madrid) both failed to make it to the final because they had no defense to speak of.

Also, Dear Ron Atkinson, if you're going to claim to know about football, don't call Juventus's defensive style untidiness.

Actually think the Juventus defence ought to take the following as its motto - "We lie, we cheat, we make bone crunching tackles."

Ay, ay some of the tackles really were rough.

And say what you want about Man U, they keep a good pitch.

Sorry about that before

I'm a bit punchy tonight. Ignore me when I get like that. Other people have moodswings from happy to sad, I go from calm, to violent and back far too quickly.

That's one of the thing I like about Dream Team. One of the characters has an uncontrollable temper, and they actually showed how it felt, which is interesting for what is basically a trashy soap opera.

There was this one scene and the character in question had been being taunted for weeks due to a plot which isn't entirely important. And he'd had a drink and these two other characters started on him again, and he just snapped. I don't know if the actor had been in plenty of fights when younger or if he was just very, very good, because his face glazed over with joy. And that's the worst of having a temper because when the anger is rushing through your veins and you do something about it, the feeling is incredible.

Then of course you calm down, and reality hits and you're very sorry for doing whatever it is that can't be undone. And they showed that side of it as well.

It was brilliant.

In other happier news

Part one of the Buffy season 6 finale was good. Very good. Love Clem, Spike, Xander and Willow.

Hate - Buffy. Where does she get off on telling Willow what to do. How dare she? Willow has a point, she needs to have her ass kicked 7 ways to Sunday.

It should be mentioned that I identify too much with Willow.

There was a welcome return though. Second coolest entrance ever.

Witchblade, what bits of it I see, continues to kick ass. Sci-fi Channel is back on series one. And there is wierdness. And Conchobar.

I have heard the new Metallica song. Will reserve judgement as it is rather *different* and will require more listenings.
