Interview with a vampire
Mar. 28th, 2003 11:02 pmI remember when I first saw it and I thought, hmm, I like Brad Pitt but he was bad in this, because Louis was so whiny, and a character so many people like can't be that whiny.
So I read the book. And Book!Louis is actually worse. The film at least gives the simpering moron some kind of backbone. And yet, I watch it. But only the Paris scenes, because hello, Armand is there. And while he may not be quite as much fun as Lestat, he burns a hole through the TV screen with lust.
Then again, he is played by Antonio Banderas who, to paraphase a quote from Missy, could make compost seem sexy, sultry and alluring.
But yes I'm one of those odd people who prefers the film to the book, because I hate the book and merely find the film boring.
