Because I have seen another of the films on the list. The Shadow of the Vampire. Which while not great and certainly not scary is deeply unsettling, and quite funny. Especially if you like your humour on the dark side.

And someone give Willem Dafoe a cookie for managing to be creepier than Udo Kier. Actually the whole film deserves a cookie because Udo Kier was one of the least creepy things in it. Hee and there was Cary Elwes.

And Eddie Izzard, and lots of other actors of the where the heck have I seen him before variety.

Really good film, and the end, the end is fantastically chilling.

Admittedly I missed the first 15 minutes because I finally got to see "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon". Accent on the word finally there. And because it's the sort of film that I think you should go into cold,

Where to begin - oh yeah, fantastic fight scenes.
Great music.
Intresting and intricate plot. Even if one character's motivation was an utter mystery to me but she's a teenage girl so that can be forgiven.
Oh yeah, good characters too. Yo George Lucas, Li Mu Bai is what the Jedis are supposed to be like.
The pictures. Oh they were stunning and beautiful.
I don't know quite how they made the gravity defying antics believable but they did.
And the ending. It took me a couple of minutes to get my act together after that one. They got me good.

So yes, I recommend it.

And finally, but most importantly, happy birthday to Morikar. May it be filled with many people wielding hardcore implements.
