Writing X-Men: First Class Fic

I am rewatching X-Men: First Class for a fic. It is as good as I remembered.

On the other hand, damned if I know how I'm going to tag this because "Charles and Erik are horribly co-dependent, no matter the gender" is not a tag.

Because I have girl!Xavier basically being squee! over girl!Magneto and ... well it's adorable but there's a reason their theme in the first film is a love song.

The other tag option is "tragically unfulfilled f/f due to mutant politics". Which ... yup, that's accurate.

Having written f/f Charles/Erik myself, this absolutely should be a tag!

Each time I think, despite having watched it, fandom must be exaggerating how like that they are, and every time I go back to the source material they are just like that.

(My imaginary f!Charles is played by Judi Dench circa when she was in Cabaret. She is tiny and people keep not noticing the will of iron. f!Magneto is Helen Mirren and she's in a dirndl in Argentina and again people are distracted, if in a different way, from 'she's gonna kill you'.)

I may have Charlotte saying she needs to be Scheherazade to keep her. I ... this is going to be both great fun to write and horribly messy.
