Modern day AU part the first - "He comes with Alex when he goes to visit her, and Alex suspects he sometimes sees her even without Alex." which is unstuck, yay!

Modern day AU the other one - "Alex could have fought out of the hold, it would have hurt him, but if he'd kicked Peter in the shin, he'd have got out of it no problem."




Fic 1 - "The squad all love Roy again 'cause they've all got bonuses for the third month in a row, mostly down to him and Rover running around wrecks." Towards the end of the first part.

Fic 2 - "But Deckard was still probably alive, while Holden was attached to a machine that did his breathing for him, and would be for the foreseeable future." Stuck




Cleveland is not the promised land - "He'd been quiet for days afterwards." which is stuck because it used to have an ending, but now the fic's not going there and I have no idea how it should end now.

Watchers Didn't Look Like That In My Day - "'I never looked back.'"





Untitled fic - "She does, so he gives Donna his credit card (UNIT insisted on paying him wages, and compound interest does terrifying things), hopefully not so easily that she'll notice something amiss." Slightly unstuck

Before the Impossible Planet - "Seeing how he had so much more experience than Scooti she had to believe him, would have done anyway because Mr. Jefferson was alright, looked after her, stopped her from making the worst mistakes while she was making smaller ones."

Part 2 of the AU meme fic - "His arm for Steve, his life with the Avengers for Steve, it's all worth it." which is actually ready but I can't post it till part 3 is finished.

Part 3 of the AU meme fic - "Bucky can't blame him for wanting to go back and stay there." Which is stuck

After Avengers Assemble fic - "Thor sought out the wisest that he could to try to find a solution, but none was found."




Blade Trinity:

The Blade Trinity Fic with the vulgar title - "He stays out too late, and his college grades suffer and he doesn't care because Danica is more fun than anyone he's ever met."

X-Men:

3 first times (and one time they didn't) - "It's the cool that makes Erik do it, use his greater height and strength to turn and push Charles down on to his back on the bed."




Swings and Roundabouts - "I'd heard the stories." Progress is being made, I'm at least towards the end of the 3rd part of 5

Added to the never going to be finished pile: 7 (3 of which hurt because what there is is gold, they just don't go anywhere. One of these is likely to rise like the phoenix at some point)

I've been doing a yearly post about this for goodness knows how long, and removing ones that haven't moved in at least 4 years for 11 years (or thereabouts).

I think this is the year with the most fics sent to the "never going to be finished" folder. I was trying to figure out why, and then I realised, oh yeah, 4 years ago was COVID.

And that's odd because I was one of the people least affected, I kept on working, yes from home but pretty much doing the same job, I wasn't furloughed, I didn't catch it and me and mine weren't harmed.

And yet it still seems to have done something because there are so many fics from back then where I've just lost all ability to carry them on because I can't remember where they were going. It's most odd.

Yeah, I was affected (working in healthcare, definitely not working from home, copped a lot of abuse but not as bad as nurses) so I thought that weird gap in memory/ability/focus wasn't so weird, but lots of other people who didn't have those experiences report the same disruption.

I think gap is an excellent way to describe it. There's stuff and it's just *poof* gone. As I said, most odd and slightly discombobulating.
