Characters: JR and Excalibur (and Kris Statlander in passing)
Rating/Warnings: G-rated gen fic
Summary: JR is used to introducing people as being from Parts Unknown and Death Valley, when they're actually from Dallas or Flagstaff. People turning out to really be aliens is a new one on him.
JR has worked in wrestling for years. He knows it's never shaken off being carny. He loved that about it, the pitch of the drama, bigger than reality, he wouldn't change it for the world. The characters are people's exaggerated selves, stories inflated and sometimes just plain made-up.
He knows that Parts Unknown is frequently Texas or Tennessee, and he'd presumed that was always going to be the case. It meant he was even more shocked by what he'd just seen.
"There were tentacles, Excalibur." They had been pink and fleshy and multitudinous. "Tentacles." Excalibur shrugged and nodded. Obviously this was not the first time he'd seen ... everything.
"So when we announce her as being from Andromeda?" asked JR.
"From about the N1/S1 arm, yeah."
"Oh."
It did explain a few things.
"And when we announce Luchasaurus as being born several million years ago ..."
"I've always felt it's better not to ask."
