I would love to make a sensible comment about the political situation in the UK except:

1 - No one wants to hear me say I told you so about Brexit or COVID. It's not hindsight, all of this was foreseen and foreseeable.

2 - Every time I try to I am distracted by this vision of a fish spotting a UK trawler following it. The fish quickly grabs a beret and shout "You cannot catch me. I am ze French halibut." This is why I am not allowed to say anything.

1. Yes, it's frustrating enough to watch at a distance (I have family members stuck in London), it must be even more so to be living through in person. It's...just so obvious.

Hope your relative is okay. One of the Australian office got stuck in Suffolk or Sussex or one of those from lockdown till just after Christmas, but she's home now (I think).

It's my brother and his wife, and I think they'd be fine except that they have a new baby and the people upstairs from them thought that this would be an awesome time to renovate. They couldn't deal with the COVID risk of having builders in and out all day so they're currently in an AirBnB.
