Was there ever a decision as to whether ordering takeaway due lockdown was the socially responsible thing to do?

A couple of the small local food places are open for deliveries.

And there's the part of me that wants them to not be open for the safety of their staff.

But I also know that they've got bills and so on and they are small local concerns (where I literally know the owners) so I want them to survive and thrive.

Suggestions and thoughts welcome!

I don't know about the UK, but in Australia it's considered responsible - you're supporting a small business, delivery or pick-up is low/no contact (if you pay electronically), and business is still slow enough that staff can do social distancing while working. But we don't have much community spread here, so I guess it's going to depend if you're in a virus transmission hotspot?
