WordPress Review of the Year

redfiona99Inspired by nwhyte, I have taken to doing round ups of the year.
I cross-post some of my posts (mostly the film, sports and data viz ones) to Wordpress (https://fulltimesportsfan.wordpress.com/ if anyone wants to know). Wordpress make this bit easy.
My most popular post was a data viz one about the quarter finals of the women's world cup - https://fulltimesportsfan.wordpress.com/2019/06/22/womens-world-cup-2019-last-16-network-diagram/
This was followed by my bit about the fight scenes in Mission: Impossible - Fallout - https://fulltimesportsfan.wordpress.com/2019/04/06/mission-impossible-fallout-is-solid-but-the-fight-scenes-are-exceptional/ which makes me really happy because that post is close to my heart.
In joint third, were my post about my top 7 films of 2018 (https://fulltimesportsfan.wordpress.com/2019/01/12/my-top-7-films-of-2018-explained/) and a data viz post about the rugby union world cup (https://fulltimesportsfan.wordpress.com/2019/10/09/speaking-french-is-bad-for-your-health-a-network-diagram-update-after-the-3rd-round-of-group-games-at-the-2019-rugby-world-cup-edit/).
Wordpress also lets you know some of the search terms that have sent people to your blog. It could tell me two (due to changes in the google algorithm, it can't tell me all of them). They were:
joel kinnan and carmine giovinazzo - which makes sense because 1) they look similar and 2) I made a comment about that in one of my posts.
world cup wiring diagram to the final - I suspect I wasn't what they were looking for, because I suspect they want a Sankey diagram. (Spoilers: depending on if I can find the link, there may be Sankey plots in the future, but for Formula 1.)
Wordpress also tells you which of the links in your posts are followed.
The most clicked on link was this to James Roby's dulcet tones (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sUZsNAsh20o), followed by one of my data viz images and the link to Spiderman: One More Day's wikipedia post.
