Occasionally, because I am playing catch up, there is only one link. Sometimes this is a good thing.
Today's link is the Saints obituary for Tom van Vollenhoven - https://www.saintsrlfc.com/2017/10/21/vollenhoven-tribute-best/
While I would recommend reading it in full, one thing it really does get across is how much of St. Helens's reputation for swashbuckling and exciting play comes from the team he was on.
He also scored *that try*. Every team has one, the try where you don't have to give details, you just say "the try" and everyone knows what you mean and plays it in their minds eye.
In that spirit, I give you - the van Vollenhoven try:
(Sky, probably because they have the rights to the footage, want to make "and wide to West" *that* try. Ladies and gentlemen, I saw that try and it was amazing, but it was no van Vollenhoven.)
