redfiona99I think someone has junked one of my paper collections. Background info - I collect newspaper clippings that are of interest to me, normally sports, ones that I know I will want to read again.
So when Ivanisevic won Wimbledon I kept a whole ton of that fortnight's papers. Realising that they'd be thrown if I didn't put them away tidily, I put them in a Smiths bag and in a box with 100s of other bits. In box -> Not messy -> hopefully not thrown away.
Well the whole box has gone missing. Mum's just come home so I shall ask her what she's done with it.
Edit - to clarify
1) Am huge Ivanisevic fan. 2) Am also huge fan of Simon Barnes, sports writer at the Times (when I say huge I mean that I have bought a newspaper purely to read his section). 3) The bits of paper I am looking for involve 2 writing about 1. And they are brilliant (and worryingly I can remember large chunks of them straight off).
So I questioned Mother, and she's put a box in the loft that might be it. I hope that is where they are because I have 1998-2000, and then I have 2002 onwards stuff, the only thing I'm missing is what I actually want.
I have at least found my recorder and a few other bits and pieces that interest me (plus a cast of my Mum's teeth?!) so all is not lost. I do remember learning from what happened, my papers for 2002 Winter Olympics are hiding in a cupboard downstairs.
