redfiona99Responding to a meme question by @Kutubiyaa on tumblr, I said that, if I finished it, this Hobbit AU fic would be a fic in a new fandom (for me). But it had been stuck because I felt the middle bit that I was up to felt repetitive.
Spurred on by the question I put some thought into it, I realised that the reason it felt repetitive was that it was. Basically there were two bits of Thorin falling into paranoia right next to each other. But the second part works better if it comes after the reveal of who Thorin is. I had been trying to find a way to work the reveal in (I mean, I knew how it was going to be revealed, but not how that was going to happen), but now I realise it's got to go between the two parts.
Progress is being made.
