In evil ex-boss news

(For new people, my evil ex-boss was, well, evil.)

As expected, my ex-boss has finally made himself ill from overwork. This would merely be unfortunate if it didn't mean that he still hasn't written his reference for my new job (which I have now had for a month). So I now have HR asking me to give him a shove, and him complaining that HR are harassing him for a reference.

He's also not been answering me about when he wants me to come up to find out what corrections he wants doing to a paper, despite demanding I suggest suitable dates. All but two of them are now gone so that at least puts that off for a while. Not that it wouldn't be easier to just email me the corrections but I think that would be too easy for him.

He seems like the type who will learn absolutely nothing from this and immediately go back to his old ways, rinse and repeat until he drops dead.

I fear that that is the truth. It would be bad enough if he only dragged himself down, because despite everything I don't think he's actually evil, but he makes everyone else work stupid hours too. My only hope is that it might flag up the problem to HR a bit more and they'll eventually do something.
