Unfortunately, the first WIP I have that has more than 7 pages I can't use because it's a gift.
Slightly more than 7 lines of a WIP follow:
>>Peter didn't like lying to his mother, but it had to be done.
It was a good life, make no mistake. A bit of heavy work, a bit of driving. Enough time left over to go out at the weekends.
Those weekends were epic. They'd got enough money to get trolleyed, and to pay for the taxi home. Even back then, Alex's appetite for booze and pills was ridiculous. It was like there was some hole he was trying to fill, but nothing ever seemed to make a dent in it. Monday mornings were hellish though. Alex with a hangover was a mean bugger.<<
