How common is phrase 'Dutch courage' in US English? I'm thinking especially of someone upper middle class US in the 1960s.

Related to that, I appear to have lost my smut mojo. Which is a problem, since a fair number of the outstanding fics on my slate are at least smut-adjacent.

Oh well, it'll give me something to do because I am taking all of December off. Well I say off, but since my contract ended it's more, unemployed but relaxing.

SPECTRE review also forthcoming. It'll give me something to do while flying to Mexico, which is apposite.

I haven't heard the phrase before. Liquid Courage is more common.

I said "Dutch courage" to an American and they were very confused. But they weren't born in the 60s.

Why can't the rest of the world insult the Dutch like they're supposed to :)

Thanks. That's two votes for use something else.
