I feel I am about to be excessively harsh about this book. Because it's good, it's solid, there is nothing wrong with it. But it's not as good as SkyPoint and Slow Decay, the other two Torchwood novels that I've read so far. Possibly it's because they were very good indeed. This doesn't have quite the same depth of characterisation as those two (although I loved the bits with Rhys shopping for the wedding), and the plot doesn't grab me quite as much because of that.

But it's still worth reading and enjoyable, just not quite so good as some of the others in the same line.

Torchwood: Consequences by Joseph Lidster (81.3%)
Torchwood: The House That Jack Built by Guy Adams (79.7%)
Torchwood: Something in the Water by Trevor Baxendale (79.3%)
Torchwood: Risk Assessment by James Goss (78.4%)
Torchwood: The Twilight Streets by Gary Russell (77.6%)
Torchwood: SkyPoint by Phil Ford (76.5%)
Torchwood: Bay Of The Dead by Mark Morris (75.6%)
Torchwood: Another Life by Peter Anghelides (73.6%)
Torchwood: Slow Decay by Andy Lane (73.1%)
Torchwood: The Undertaker's Gift by Trevor Baxendale (72.9%)

Are other Torchwood books, two of which I've read.
