Back from seeing Game of Shadows yesterday.
Firstly, and non-spoilery - I want to steal this version of Moriarty (and Moran) and stick them into Sherlock-verse, because this is Moriarty done right.
I probably enjoyed it more than the first one
I think it's because, due to the format of the story, I couldn't complain about the problems with the mystery. Also, because they didn't feel the need to shove Holmes being a childish pain in the neck down our throats all the time. Although he's right about horses - "They're dangerous at both ends and... crafty in the middle." Not surprised that the Shetland pony got their first though ;)
I was annoyed about Adler.
I <3 Mary Watson so very much.
But yes, the minute that Reichenbach Falls was mentioned there was only one place it was going and it went their brilliantly because they did it properly. And Moriarty breaking the fourth wall in universe was something else, "Come now, you really think you're the only one who can play this game?". I'm not entirely sure than internal visu-logs work like that, but if anyone can manage it, the evil mastermind can.
They did the scene better than 'Sherlock' but that's because they used Watson's words from 'The Final Problem' and ACD, as always, did it best.
