I get lost after that part. I'm not going to lie - I played that album to death when it was first released and still kinda like it now. Everything I've heard from them since has been rubbish.
Wicker Man - Iron Maiden - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QRR_sphw9eE - Huge controvery when the BBC decided that this wouldn't get any airplay. Cue hoards of Maiden fans, rock fans, general music fans and the awkward squad buying copies of this so they'd have to play it.
Oh, I remember that (Iron Maiden Fan Club member here ^_^). The 'feud' between Maiden and the BBC goes back years though, ever since Top of the Pops completely screwed up their Sanctuary performance in 1980. They refused to do the show again until 1995/6, despite getting a No. 1. Maiden fans are CRAZY loyal and yes, I count myself in that!
New Disease - Spineshank - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A-TO-L1Escc - When, in a few years, I do my nu-metal post these are going down as the 'should have been so much bigger', by far the most easy to listen to of any of the nu-metal bands. I really don't get why they didn't take over the world.
I can't remember for the life of me what the album this was from was called but I remember it being very good. They never really did take off which was a shame as they were so much better than most of their peers who outsold them. I bet I've still got this CD boxed away somewhere. Probably next to the Linkin Park album XD
I know I have my copy of this somewhere. I remember being full of fangirlish squee after hearing it the first time because it was so *Manics* and I'd been pretty disappointed with their previous few releases.
