First of all, Merry Christmas those who celebrate, merry anything else anyone is celebrating and happy Thursday to anyone who isn't.
With the exception of Colin sulking, and Phil lying to cover his arse and getting caught for it (and trying to scam £40 off me), it's been a good Christmas so far. It turns out I like goose.
Presents included 2 wool jumpers (1 handknit - I <3 my Grandmother), money for my fencing mask, an excessive amount of make up that doesn't suit me to the point where it nearly does, and the most adorable mouse sculpture. It's almost as though my girl cousin knew I liked that style of sculpture, but I've never told her that I did. She is just that awesome. People liked the presents I gave them and the festivities (and the possible punch ups) continue tomorrow.
Media stuff:
Caught some of "Tin Man" on sci-fi. Damn good show. People, this is how you do darker and edgier without being so edgy you cut off your own audience. I love Glitch. I love him so much. And I almost love Alan Cumming's stunt man more.
Finally saw 'Curse of the Were-Rabbit'. It was good, but not as good as the shorts IMO.
Doctor Who had its best Christmas special so far
I'm happy to see Dirvla Kirwan on my TV again. More of her, please, TV people.
They finally got the thing right where the Doctor isn't the emotional heart of the story.
Oddly this convinced me that David Morrisey will make a splendid Doctor if he's chosen. I was worried that he was too heavy and serious an actor, but he's not. His not quite the Doctor was so wonderful. But as I said to either clo or kindoftrouble, I might be biased. He reminded me somewhat of 3.
Totally squeaked for the Doctors montage.
With the exception of one terrible dim line (which nhw has pointed out), all was good.
