I'm iffy about RDJ as Sherlock, too, and I didn't know Guy Ritchie is directing. Dude is fabulous at stuff like "Snatch", but yeah, I'm uncertain as to how good he'd be outside of that. I don't know if I can handle some kind of stylized Sherlock Holmes.
I've never heard RDJ do an English accent, but he does a pretty good Aussie. He did it in "Natural Born Killers" and he's going to do one in "Tropic Thunder." Except both are in the context of satire, so I feel he's a little on the exaggerated side. I don't know how well he'd do with a straightface proper Brit accent.
